£0
There is no consultation fee, no application fee, no "premium package", and no charge that appears later in the process.
UK universities need to recruit international students, and they'd rather work with an agency that sends them well-matched, properly prepared applicants than process thousands of speculative applications themselves. That commission is our entire income.
The obvious follow-up: doesn't that mean you'll push me somewhere that pays you more? Our advisers are salaried, not paid per placement. We publish every university we hold a partnership with. And if the right course for you is somewhere we have no agreement, we'll tell you and help you apply there anyway.
We will never ask you to send us money. Tuition goes to your university, visa fees to the Home Office, test fees to the test provider. If anyone claiming to represent Unilight Education asks you for a payment, it isn't us — tell us on +44 7956 458768.
Progress
Six stages from first conversation to first lecture. We carry most of them.
Thirty minutes, free. An honest read on what's realistic.
You tell us your qualifications, budget and subject. We build a shortlist with one ambitious option and one safe one — and flag anything in your history that needs handling early.
Transcripts, passport, references, translations.
We tell you exactly what each university needs and check everything before it goes. Missing or mismatched documents are the most common cause of delay, and entirely preventable.
Submitted to every university on your shortlist.
Including through UCAS where that applies. You approve your personal statement before anything is sent — we never submit in your name without your sign-off.
Compared side by side, in plain language.
We explain exactly what each conditional offer requires and by when, chase admissions teams that go quiet, and ask about scholarships and fee waivers where they exist.
Issued, and checked line by line.
We prepare you for the university's pre-CAS interview and make sure the CAS itself is correct. Wrong dates or a misspelled name cause refusals, and are far easier to fix before it's used.
Accommodation, bank, GP, registration — and after.
Your adviser stays your contact through your first term. Enrolment is when we get paid; it isn't when we stop.
Immigration matters are handled by an OISC-regulated adviser we introduce you to, free of charge. We are not regulated to give that advice ourselves.

Location changes the real cost of your degree more than the tuition does. Pick a city to see what it's actually like.
Partner institutions are those we hold formal written agreements with — they pay us a commission when a student we've introduced enrols. Being on that list doesn't make a university right for you, and not being on it doesn't rule it out. If the best course for you is somewhere we have no agreement, we'll say so and help you apply there anyway.

Straight answers
Yes. We charge students nothing at any stage. Our income is commission paid by partner universities after a student enrols. You will pay your university, the Home Office and your English test provider directly — never us.
No, and you should be wary of anyone who says they can. Visa decisions are made by the Home Office alone. What we can do is make sure your application to the university is strong, your CAS is issued correctly, your documents are in order, and you're properly prepared for a credibility interview — the things that are actually within anyone's control.
Usually not. Most people on a valid visa can apply to switch to a Student route from inside the UK, though there are exceptions — visitor visas in particular have restrictions. Whether you can switch depends on your current leave and your immigration history, which is a question for a regulated adviser rather than for us. We'll get you the university place and the CAS, and introduce you to one.
Often, yes. A previous refusal makes the next application harder, not impossible, and a great deal depends on the refusal reason. Tell us about it at the assessment stage — early and in full. Advisers who don't know about a refusal can't work around it, and undisclosed history is the most common reason a second application fails too.
We'll always tell you where our commercial relationships are — every institution we hold a formal partnership with is listed publicly. If the best course for you sits outside that list, we'll say so and help you apply anyway.
No. We're an education placement agency. We're not regulated by the OISC and we don't give immigration advice. For anything that touches your visa or your immigration status, we'll introduce you to an OISC-regulated adviser or an immigration solicitor. That introduction is free too, and we don't take a referral fee for it.
Where our help stops
Unilight Education is a UK-registered education placement agency. We advise on courses and institutions, prepare and submit university applications, and support students through to enrolment. We work to the principles of the British Council's National Code of Ethical Practice for UK Education Agents.
We are not regulated by the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner, and we do not provide immigration advice or immigration services. Under UK law only a person regulated to do so may advise on immigration matters. Where you need that advice we'll introduce you to an OISC-regulated adviser or an immigration solicitor — free of charge, and we take no referral fee.
We'd rather tell you this on the homepage than have you find it out in month three.
